ICAO Annex 19 Audits Begin in 2018... But U.S. Operators Flying to Europe May Need SMS Now

While the FAA works on requiring Safety Management Systems (SMS) for all commercial operators in the United States (currently just FAR Part 121 airlines must have SMS in place by June 2017), the rest of the world is way ahead in terms of requiring business aircraft operators to also use an SMS. Operators who fly in international waters must soon be ready to provide SMS program documentation for entry at foreign airports. This includes U.S. operators flying to Caribbean airports.

A Successful Show at NBAA BACE! November 2-4, 2016 marked our first year exhibiting at the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA) Business Aircraft Convention and Exhibition (BACE) in Orlando. EASA Regulations Added to iIS-BAO Safety Audit Software

The 2017 release of iIS-BAO Audit Protocol software, initially launched in April 2015 by Fountain and Associates, will include EASA Organisation Requirements for Air Operations (ORO) and Non-commercial Operations with Complex Motor Aircraft (NCC) regulations. Corporate flight departments, auditors and service providers conducting internal or external safety audits will now be able to quickly access these EASA regulations in addition to the more than 400 International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) requirements, related FAA regulations and NASA guidance documents, and the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) generic company operations manual (GCOM) in one easy-to-use application.
